SMB prospects can self-serve a demo without a sales call
Interactive demos solved try before you buy, but they also raised the bar. Buyers now arrive already informed, so they may want something more tailored than a generic product tour. "By the time someone lands on your website, they know whether it's the right solution or not, and they're coming to get confirmation about something specific," Randy notes. "They want something super personalized to their industry and their day to day that's going to compel them to either buy a plan right then and there or talk to sales."
AI has also sped up product development, so demos go stale before teams can refresh them. "Software isn't static. Far from it," Chris emphasizes. "And now, engineers are releasing at speeds they've never done before with coding agents. This has put a massive strain on GTM teams."
That is why we see agentic demo software as next. It helps solve the problems demo software still has: personalization at scale, GTM bandwidth, and around-the-clock coverage the team cannot handle on its own.
How our customer Nectar is using the agent now
"We're starting by deploying the Navattic agent for demo requests smaller than our ICP. It gives these prospects a simple, self-guided way to evaluate our product and determine fit, while freeing up our sales team's calendars to focus their time on strike-zone opportunities," says Peyton.
Where Nectar sees this in 1 to 2 years
"In the future, I see Navattic agents providing tailored demo experiences for entire buying committees. It will allow every decision maker to see the exact product features that matter to them, while making sure our pitch stays clear and accurate even when our sales rep isn't in the room."
Randy shared a similar view: the future of product content will be bespoke. No two experiences should look the same because no two prospects are the same.
Feed agents docs, sales video, messaging, and style guides, and they tailor to each buyer or persona. They can also learn from earlier conversations and get better at qualification, routing, and presales. "Self-improvement loops are going to be a huge part of agentic workflows, making sure agents are learning from every interaction, and are able to consistently match what they know about a customer to what they know about your product," Chris notes.
